We are currently working exclusively with a multisite manufacturing client who is looking for a technically strong and experienced Finance Manager that is looking for a role in which they can make their mark. The business is well established and is part of a larger Group so reporting will have regional and Group reporting responsibilities. It is an excellent position for you to bring your leadership skills, technical experience and timely control and guidance as they look to integrate reporting across subsidiaries.

Your role as Finance Manager will include the following duties:

  • Prepare a timely and informative monthly management pack with variance analysis.
  • Responsible for all the trial balance reporting across two subsidiaries and manage the intercompany reconciliations and re-charge process.
  • Manage the small finance teams and clearly communicate expectations around deadlines as well as controls and processes with the transactional processing.
  • Enhance the communication between both manufacturing sites with both finance and non-finance personnel.
  • Manage the invoice factoring relationships, payments schedules and provide tighter cashflow management/processes.
  • Review all the current controls around intercompany transactions to improve efficiencies and build robust processes.
  • Work closely with the operational and commercial teams internally, developing clear focus on overheads and purchasing.
  • Ensure compliance with the audit and tax reporting, managing the statutory reporting, HMRC and VAT submissions.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial analysis and transparency of focus.

The successful candidate will demonstrate some of the following experience to date, however you will be looking to have autonomy and grow as a financial lead:

  • Experience of manufacturing or engineering business.
  • Must be able to commute daily to the business, with further travel periodically to other sites.
  • Understanding of stock management and full control process.
  • Fully qualified within the profession (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Proven experience of financial leadership, and development of personnel and teamwork.
