We are seeking an experienced Interim Group Financial Accountant to support a large group of companies during a significant time of growth. This role will play a critical part in delivering accurate and timely group reporting, statutory accounts, and financial consolidation alongside the senior management team while they work through multiple adhoc projects.
Key Responsibilities as Group Financial Accountant include:
- Preparation and delivery of monthly group management accounts and consolidated reporting
- Support the production of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards
- Manage group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations
- Assist with year-end and audit processes, acting as a key point of contact for auditors
- Ensure consistency of financial reporting across group entities
- Provide technical accounting support and insight to the wider finance team
- Assist the wider finance team with day-to-day supervision if required
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to manage tight deadlines around projects
- Assist where required with management account reporting alongside the team to provide timely support
- Improvements to group reporting processes and controls
The successful candidate will need to have the following attributes:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and working to tight deadlines
- Excellent Excel skills and experience with consolidation/reporting systems
