If you're a fully qualified accountant looking to move from a practice into industry, then this role is for you! We are looking on behalf of an excellent client for someone to bring their strong controls and audit background into the business and support the consolidation and enhancement of internal systems and processes. Our client operates on an international level and the business is growing to the point of needing a strong technically minded Financial Reporting Accountant to join the business.
Reporting directly to the financial controller, you'll take a leading role in the company's economic development and strategic direction. Having worked in one of the larger accountancy practices in the region, you'll have gained significant experience working with major clients with mid-large tier clients. And now, you want to apply your financial skills to a commercial environment.
Your general responsibilities will cover:
- Generation and presentation of monthly management accounts to the SMT
- Providing commentary on the company's monthly/quarterly/annual financial performance
- Balance sheet, P&L reconciliations, and accounting journals
- Stock and inventory management
- Managing cash flow and preparing weekly cash flow forecasts
- Tax/VAT submissions to HMRC
- Shaping the future accounts department and team
- Being the first point of contact for audits
As for your background, you must be:
- Recently qualified ACA, with Audit experience preferably alongside some accounts prep
- Experienced in working with large, corporate clients
- Capable of communicating financial information to senior-level management and the board
- Skilled with Microsoft Excel, Data manipulation and real time reporting
- Experienced with ERP systems is an advantage
