Rebus Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing engineering/manufacturing organisation based in the heart of East Lancashire who are looking to recruit a Commercial Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant who wishes to make a difference and work alongside operations, production and finance to provide accurate and performance lead finance/commercial reporting to the senior finance leadership.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial insight and partnering closely with operational and commercial teams across the site. Key responsibilities for the Commercial/Management Accountant will involve:
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts including full variance reporting and commentary of findings.
- Develop and establish a strong weekly P&L reporting.
- Effective budgeting and forecasting across the site with all internal expenditure.
- Produce detailed cost and margin reporting, inventory management, WIP and standard costing.
- Business partnering with non-finance stakeholders and budget holders across the group, enhancing financial accountability.
- Supporting commercial decision-making and profitability decision making for the site alongside the SLT.
- Continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
The successful candidate will bring with them a proven background in commercial reporting within a manufacturing/engineering environment. You will be able to take the core financial data, interpret findings and assist in driving the organisation forward with a strategic influence and direction. You will also have the following attributes:
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualification (or part qualified).
- Experience in a commercial or management accounting role.
- Background in engineering, manufacturing or similar product-based environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, as well as communication skills for all internal peers.
- A commercially focused mindset and the drive to enhance business performance at all levels.
