We are currently working with a well-established client based near Accrington who are looking for an Interim Finance Manager (9 months) to join them and help with a variety of specific projects across both finance departments. The company provides different product offerings, and so the role will involve fast-paced work across the business developing controls and accountability of financial data and transparency. You will ideally have experience within a product-based business and be fully versed in the financial performance and controls required in such an environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop controls and nominal coding across purchase ledger processing and establish tighter working practices with department managers.
- Improve the aged debt reporting and structuring of the credit control processes, raising accountability and timely collections.
- Manage the budgeting process for the business to control internal expenditure.
- Work closely with the FC to reduce the month-end reporting schedule and presentation of the accounts pack.
- Develop an effective stock management system and the recording of stock levels/movements/usage.
- Manage the capital expenditure across the site and structure the fixed asset register with accurate depreciations and disposals.
- Work closely with the FC to improve the automation side of the accounts function and reporting.
We are looking for someone who has experience within an SME environment and understands how to develop controls and working practices within an accounts function. You will be confident in working with both finance and non-financial personnel and support your peers in their understanding of changes. In return, we will be offering a solid salary level and bonus, plus all the usual benefits. This role is being offered on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
