Our client is based in the heart of Lancashire and is now looking for a dynamic and commercially astute Finance Director. The business has gone through an exciting period of growth over the last few years, through organic delivery and acquisitions, and it isn't stopping yet. They are now looking to recruit this key leadership position who will liaise between all the internal and external stakeholders across multiple sites, drive commercial performance and strengthen the commercial mindset and acumen across all departments and management teams.
The role will require someone to develop their own gravitas, becoming the go-to person and assist with the ongoing strategy of the business growth journey, while developing a cohesive workplace and focus across the sites.
Key Responsibilities as Finance Director will include:- Evolve the current reporting package with both monthly end management accounts and associated forecasting and budgeting reports.
- Continually review the commercial MI metrics and reforecast where necessary.
- Develop tighter structure with the WIP report and associated cash position, projections and growth.
- Work closely with the CEO and investors to guide insights and recommendations, playing a key part in the execution of the future strategic plan.
- Investigate potential investment opportunities, current M&A activity, and further viable acquisitions.
- Present the full Board pack and detailed report for Board of Directors and PE Investors.
- Lead and support the growth of the internal finance function, developing people within the team with individual growth.
- Enhance the current controls and reporting processes across all the sites to have a cohesive and standardised reporting structure.
The successful candidate will display some of the following attributes:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong commercial acumen with a strategic mindset, able to deliver at every level across the business.
- Experience in developing senior leadership management, investor relations.
- Execute a strategic plan over a 3-5 year period and lead a business through an exciting growth journey.
- A collaborative, high-impact role within a dynamic business.
