Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge? Our client is an exciting business based near Blackburn who work closely with the local community to provide professional services across the Northwest. They are a growing organisation and have strong plans to expand further in the next 12 months, and this newly created position is necessary to support that growth.
We are looking for an approachable Finance Manager to lead budgeting, financial control, and commercial support across the business. This role is key to ensuring financial discipline, smart growth, and profitability across all operations.
Key responsibilities:- Prepare the annual budget and manage ongoing budgetary cost control/expenditure, reducing costs where appropriate
- Strengthen financial controls and processes across all sites
- Work closely on contract and tender negotiations to ensure profitable outcomes
- Deliver clear, accurate monthly management accounts to senior leadership and the board with commentary
- Map financial performance against growth targets and strategic plans
- Responsible for establishing a rolling 12-week cashflow forecast
- Report all the VAT/Tax liabilities and wages and bring these in house
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Experience improving controls and managing spend across a business
- Commercial acumen to support contract negotiations and profitability
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA is preferable)
