Rebus Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing niche organisation based in the heart of East Lancashire who are looking to recruit a driven and focused Management Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant who wishes to join a high performance and growing business and work closely with the senior leadership team to provide accurate and performance lead finance/commercial reporting. The business operates within a complex and ever-changing marketplace, and you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial information across all the businesses within the Group, to support key decision making with accuracy.
Key responsibilities for the Management Accountant will involve:
- Responsible for producing the full month end management accounts for two subsidiaries within the Group, ready for review by the FD.
- Streamline the current PO process across all the sites, improving controls and promoting transparency across the business.
- Develop the current stock control process and provide timely accuracy around movements and stock levels.
- Responsible for the reporting of the KPI suite with particular focus around buying trends, product mix, gross margin/profitability and stock.
- Fully responsible for the reconciliations with the bank and associated control accounts, monitoring closely the weekly cashflow and projections.
- Assist with the development of the reporting controls across all the business in the Group.
- Management of the fixed asset register across two sites within East Lancashire.
The successful candidate will bring with them a proven background in month end management reporting within a production-based environment. You will be able to take the core financial data, interpret findings and assist in driving the organisation forward with tight controls and processes. You will also bring to the role of Management Accountant the following attributes:
- ACCA / CIMA / ACA qualification (or part qualified).
- Experience in a commercial or management accounting role.
- Background in product-based environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, as well as communication skills for all internal peers.
- A commercially focused mindset and the drive to enhance business performance at all levels.
