We are currently recruiting for a fabulous privately owned and growing business based in Blackpool who are looking for a solid Management Accountant to join them in this pivotal role and develop their internal accounts function. The role would come with a supportive mentor and give the successful candidate the opportunity to establish themselves within a leadership role, producing the full month end management accounts.

You will be involved in all aspects of the month end reporting and will require you to support and lead a small transactional team while reporting into a Fractional FD. It offers the opportunity to progress and develop your exposure to financial projects, commercial acumen and board pack reporting improving controls as you go.

Duties as Management Accountant will include:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts including full commentary for the board of Directors.
  • Assist with the budgetary control, internal expenditure and overhead management.
  • Responsible for the HMRC/VAT submissions.
  • Monitor the accuracy of the nominal ledger, and all the transactional processing of the business.
  • Influence the reporting around cashflow forecasting, providing tighter controls and monitor the daily cashflow.
  • Manage the fixed asset reporting covering all disposals, depreciations and CAPEX reporting.
  • Develop the KPI reporting and analysis across the business to assist with strategic decision making and business performance.
  • Assist with the preparation of the year end audit pack.
