We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our well-established team and bring with them a wealth of experience within an accounts department. Our long-standing client based in the Blackpool area is looking for a Finance Assistant to join their current team in this newly created position. The business has grown over recent years and has seen an increase in investment in both the site and its staff, and therefore we need a new team member to work closely with the current team in the reporting of all aspects of the transactional processing.
The department is fast-paced and will require an experienced individual with exposure to all aspects of transactional accounts and associated administration. The role of Finance Assistant will involve the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full sales ledger cycle, including raising of invoices, accurate and timely billing, customer data and pricing accuracy.
- Oversees the credit control across the site, building solid customer relationships, timely collections and managing any cashflow risks.
- Manage the full purchase ledger cycle across the site with a 3-way match system, covering both internal overhead invoicing and product purchasing invoices.
- Responsible for the expenses across the site, managing the receipts and checking all payments with the bank.
- Ensure all supplier/stock documentation is both recorded and managed accurately, and in line with industry compliance.
- Complete and manage all import and export documentation and always ensure compliance and transparency, across all aspects of HMRC/TAX administration.
As a candidate, you will already be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- At least 3 years experience within a UK based finance team.
- Understanding of all the aspects of the transactional reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Sage systems.
- Willingness to learn, be part of a team and committed to developing their learning.
