Company Overview: Rebuild with Hope is a charitable organisation established to support individuals with multiple barriers to employment, whilst supporting those suffering due to the rising cost of living. The charity currently has four, soon to be five stores with our flagship store in Wigan. These stores sell high street brands with discounts of up to 70% across all categories, homewares, clothing, gifts, toys, and accessories.
Position: Driver – Location: Wigan
- 2 roles – 16 hours per week and 30 hours per week
- Staff discounts available in our stores
Job Description: As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and packages to and from our hub in Wigan to locations across the Northwest and North Wales. You will also be responsible for picking up and dropping off students and trainees at several locations across the Northwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver goods and collect students/trainees
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle with care
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
- Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as driver or in a similar role
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy packages
- Familiarity with local streets and routes is a plus
