An established, family-run UK Managed Services Provider with 30 years’ experience supporting organisations across the Midlands. The business delivers Managed IT, Cyber Security hardening and user training, Unified Communications/Telephony, and Managed Print, backed by a dedicated in-house support team (no outsourced desks). With a strong reputation for reliability and long-term partnerships, this is a stable, values-led business with a performance-driven sales culture and an active sustainability/community focus.
This is a new business Business Development Executive position focused on creating pipeline and booking qualified meetings. You’ll work with a CRM packed with thousands of accurate company records and support three experienced salespeople with strong close rates. You’ll also be paired with another BDE who’s been in the business for over a decade—so you’ll have structure, support and proven ways of working from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively prospect by phone and identify opportunities across Managed IT, Cyber, Comms and Managed Print.
- Run confident outreach conversations—build rapport, qualify need, and handle objections.
- Deliver daily/weekly activity against clear KPIs: 45 cold calls per day and 10 qualified meetings per month.
- Follow up leads via email, LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and other lead-gen platforms.
- Keep CRM activity and prospect data accurate and up to date.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure clean handover and strong meeting quality.
- Keep messaging sharp by staying aware of competitor activity and market changes.
- Improve product knowledge and sales technique through training and self-learning.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven outbound telesales/telemarketing (or strong customer-facing experience with a commercial edge).
- Confident, clear communicator with strong listening and questioning skills.
- Comfortable working to targets and KPIs, with resilience and consistency.
- Strong persuasion/objection handling and a professional approach to prospects.
- CRM familiarity and experience using LinkedIn/Sales Navigator preferred.
- Team player who can work independently and stay organised.
