Surrey Office based | £30,000–£40,000 Basic (up to £80k OTE) + Benefits
Established UK IT solutions provider supporting private and public sector customers with technology procurement and solutions-led sales across infrastructure, cloud, software/licensing and cyber security. The business combines a strong vendor ecosystem with solid delivery capability, focusing on commercial outcomes and long-term account value. You’ll join a performance-driven sales team with access to rich customer intelligence and historic account data to accelerate pipeline and wins.
The Role
- Start as 100% new business: build pipeline, win new logos, and close profitable deals.
- Leverage a wealth of customer data and dormant accounts to generate faster opportunities alongside pure outbound.
- Full sales-cycle ownership: prospect → qualify → propose → negotiate → close.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently generate new opportunities via outbound activity (calls, email, LinkedIn, referrals).
- Qualify requirements, run discovery, and shape commercial proposals.
- Manage a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasting through CRM.
- Close business with a clear focus on GP, margin, and deal quality.
- Re-activate dormant / lapsed accounts using existing data to accelerate early wins.
- Maintain strong internal handover to delivery/service teams to protect customer experience and repeat revenue.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven new business sales performance (hunter mindset).
- Comfortable working to GP targets and managing margin-led conversations.
- Strong prospecting habits: activity, resilience, and consistency.
- Confident communicator with solid negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience selling IT / technology solutions (or adjacent B2B services) preferred.
- Disciplined CRM usage and forecasting.
Progression & Pay (Performance-Led)
- Transparent 15-tier progression framework up to Account Director.
- You can trigger your own promotion and pay rise within ANY rolling 12-month period by hitting performance thresholds — no waiting for annual review cycles.
- Example benchmark: £40k base aligns to a £216,000 GP target.
