Key objective
Your objective is to build and apply the core skills needed to contribute to Digital PR campaigns. Over the 8 weeks, you’ll learn how to research stories, build media lists, write outreach, and secure coverage. You’ll move from learning the basics to contributing to live campaigns, with support from the team throughout. The goal is to get you to a point where you can confidently support campaign delivery and earn coverage.
Core responsibilities
- Learning and development
- Take part in structured training across Digital PR fundamentals
- Learn and apply how campaigns are planned, built, and delivered
- Understand what makes a story newsworthy and how to position it
- Research and campaign support
- Support with research for campaign ideas and story development
- Assist in building media lists using tools such as Muck Rack
- Help identify relevant journalists, publications, and opportunities
- Outreach and execution
- Support the creation of outreach emails
- Assist with sending outreach and tracking responses
- Learn and practice how to follow up and build journalist relationships
- Team collaboration
- Work closely with the Digital PR team on live campaigns
- Take feedback on board and apply it quickly
- Contribute to a positive, proactive team environment
About you
- You’re interested in PR, media, marketing, or storytelling
- You’re a strong communicator with good written English
- You’re curious and naturally ask questions to understand things better
- You’re organised and able to manage your time across tasks
- You’re proactive and willing to get stuck in
- You don’t need prior Digital PR experience, but any writing, research, or media-related experience is a bonus
