Reblade is growing and we are looking for commercially minded people to join our team. We are now welcoming applications for a new senior position, managing the delivery of end-to-end wind farm decommissioning projects alongside providing advisory services to our clients.
Reblade specialises in windfarm decommissioning and blade waste innovation. We deliver turnkey end-of-life solutions for wind energy operators, managing the full complexity of decommissioning programmes from strategic planning and regulatory compliance through to safe, efficient site execution. As the UK's onshore fleet ages and operators begin to face fleet-level end-of-life decisions, Reblade is positioned at the forefront of a rapidly maturing segment, and we're building the team to match that ambition.
Role Purpose
To lead the delivery of end-to-end wind farm decommissioning projects alongside delivering high-level strategic consultancy. You will manage projects from the boardroom to the site, authoring the decommissioning and restoration plans (DRPs) that enable major operators to manage fleet end-of-life with confidence, and help Reblade grow its presence in a rapidly developing market.
Location: Reblade is a Glasgow-based business and office-based working is welcome. However, we will also consider hybrid and home-based working. Travel will be required.
Contract: This is a full-time, permanent position.
Salary: Competitive
Key Responsibilities
- High-Level Project Management: Own the end-to-end delivery of decommissioning and repowering projects, maintaining programme oversight, budget control and risk management across all phases. Coordinate internal resources, specialist subcontractors and client stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-party projects on time and within scope. Maintain clear and consistent reporting to senior leadership and clients throughout.
- Consultancy & Strategy: Author technically rigorous Decommissioning and Restoration Plans (DRPs) and associated documentation, and provide strategic guidance to operators on fleet end-of-life planning, helping clients understand their obligations, options and commercial levers at an early stage.
- Client Relationship Management: Act as the senior point of contact for clients throughout project delivery, building long-term relationships with operators, developers and asset managers. Navigate both corporate procurement environments and operational site teams with equal confidence, adapting communication style to audience without compromising on technical integrity.
- Business Development: Support the identification and conversion of new project opportunities, contributing to proposals, tenders and client presentations.
- On-Site Leadership: Take responsibility for safe, compliant and efficient site execution during active decommissioning works. Manage the relationship between principal contractor obligations and client expectations on site.
Experience & Qualifications
Windfarm decommissioning is an emerging specialism. We are as interested in the quality and transferability of your experience as we are in sector-specific credentials. Strong candidates may come from wind energy construction, heavy civil or infrastructure decommissioning, environmental restoration, or complex project management in adjacent heavy industries.
Essential:
- Significant experience in wind energy, construction, infrastructure decommissioning, or environmental restoration, with a demonstrable ability to apply that experience to new technical contexts.
- Experience authoring or contributing to technical site strategies, restoration plans, or equivalent regulatory submissions for approval by statutory bodies.
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations and practical experience of maintaining site safety standards in heavy engineering environments.
- Proven ability to manage relationships across both senior corporate stakeholders and on-site engineering teams.
Desirable:
- Direct experience of windfarm decommissioning or repowering projects at any scale.
- Familiarity with Scottish and/or UK planning and consenting frameworks for wind energy.
- Existing relationships within the wind energy operations and asset management community.
- Experience working with or for Tier 1 energy operators or developers.
