For 30 years we’ve been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.
We’re seeking a passionate, enthusiastic and technically proficient QA Analyst to help shape our next wave of exciting projects. This is your chance to join one of the UK’s leading independent studios, renowned for original IPs such as Sniper Elite, Zombie Army and Atomfall!
The QA Analyst position is focused on testing games and applications across multiple platforms in accordance with established test plans. You\’ll be responsible for crafting succinct bug reports, including all pertinent supporting information and delivering thoughtful, sharp analysis. As an integral member of the QA team, you will contribute significantly to the quality assurance efforts for all of Rebellion\’s thrilling titles.
This position is ideal for individuals with experience in game testing and familiarity with game testing models. The Rebellion QA team is committed to ensuring that every game released meets the highest standards of design and development.
This exciting opportunity can be based out of either of our studios in Oxford or Warwick, offering flexibility, collaboration, and the chance to work with a world-class team! We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

Responsibilities
- Testing aspects of the game, including gameplay mechanics, controls, graphics, audio, user interface and overall performance, playing the game extensively and systematically identifying bugs, glitches, or issues.
- Documenting problems with detailed information on how to reproduce the issue, including steps and conditions for the bug.
- Creating and maintaining test cases and scenarios based on the game\’s design and requirements.
- Testing the game on different hardware configurations and operating systems to ensure compatibility and optimal performance across multiple platforms.
- Working closely with Senior Analysts & Leads, and other team members, communicating bugs and collaborating on quality improvements.
- Maintaining detailed records of testing activities including test plans, results, and encountered issues.
- Providing feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, and overall user experience.
- Following established testing methodologies, best practices and quality standards.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of software testing methodologies.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of bug testing and tracking software (Jira/Redmine, TestRail/TestLink, Confluence/Wiki.js).
- Professional experience testing current generation of consoles and PC platforms.
- Thorough understanding of different game genres, mechanics and platforms.
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, reproduce issues and troubleshoot problems effectively; critical thinking and different angle approach.
- Ability to work closely with developers, designers and other team members when required.
- Effective time management and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced game development environment, prioritising tasks, balancing workload and communicating delays.
- Adaptability to changing requirements, new tools and emerging technologies; willingness to learn and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
