We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We’re looking for a Lead UI Artist to lead a team of UI artists and designers across multiple exciting unannounced titles currently in development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team behind the Sniper Elite series and fresh off the success of Atomfall, our biggest launch to date. Using your extensive experience in the UI/UX field, you will join a highly collaborative environment, working as part of a multidisciplinary leadership team, to help inspire a team of UI Artists, Technical UI Designers and UX Designers to shape the vision, aesthetic and implementation of the UI for an unannounced title.

What we need is someone who knows how useful data is in analysing and reacting to user behaviour and feedback but also someone who loves working with other people. We believe that UI is never solved by a single person or a single point of view and that is why we want the best collaborators so that we can work together to make memorable experiences for us and for our players! This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. We can provide a relocation package, including moving assistance, temporary accommodation, and full support to ensure a smooth transition to your new environment.

  • Lead the UI team, design and iterate UX and drive the UI/UX deliverables for the project
  • Build a UX strategy for a brand-new game, helping to shape the UX vision in collaboration with experts from the Design team
  • Drive the delivery and quality of the UI for the project, mentoring and supporting UI designers, artists, and technical designers
  • Proactively manage team performance and development through regular feedback and performance reviews
  • Guide the creation of high-quality UI, ensuring this meets both the artistic vision and technical constraints
  • Take ownership of UI design documentation, helping to define style, usability goals, and player experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define and evolve workflows, pipelines, and long-term UI/UX goals
Requirements
  • Experience designing UX/UI
  • Experience managing a small team through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Portfolio showing experience designing high fidelity UI using industry standard tools, e.g., Adobe XD, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, etc
  • Able to effectively communicate whilst building long-term, trusting relationships with a wide range of people
  • Passionate about video games & games development.
Benefits

We offer an extensive benefits package to our team including:

  • 22 days holidays + Christmas closure (typically 4 days) & Bank holidays (increasing with service at 5 years – one day each year until you reach 31 days)
  • Private Medical Insurance, healthcare cash plan, including dental and Vision
  • Life Assurance, Income Protection & Critical Illness Cover
  • Enhanced Family Leave
  • Interest Free, Tax-Free loans
  • Enhanced Pension Scheme
  • EAP a range of Mental Health and Wellbeing Support
