We want you to #JOINTHEREBELLION. For 30 years we have been independently developing and publishing incredible video games at our multiple studios founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, but Rebellion is more than just games. We have our own film studio, we create board games, publish books, and through 2000AD, publish comics and graphic novels such as the amazing Judge Dredd.

We are looking for a talented Junior Audio Programmer to join our passionate and experienced Tech Team and be part of one of our exciting new large-scale projects, crafted by a seasoned team renowned for creating exceptional shooters. Working closely with our in-house tech team, you will help work on our in-house game engine, Asura. The successful candidate will design, implement, and test new audio features while also maintaining and updating the existing codebase. Additionally, you will develop and maintain tools that enable designers to create content, collaborating closely with them to introduce new features and identify any issues. You will also work with other teams to support their game development needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing and testing new audio features in the engine and maintaining and updating the existing code base
  • Developing and maintaining tools for designers to author content
  • Working closely with designers to develop new features and identify issues
  • Collaborating with other teams to meet their game development needs
  • Research and evaluate new game audio technology
  • Be a champion for audio in the company

This role is based at our riverside headquarters in Oxford, offering a creative and relaxed atmosphere where teamwork drives our success. Requirements:

  • Proficient in C++ programming
  • Passionate about audio
  • Quick to embrace new processes and workflows
  • Familiarity with the video game development lifecycle is a plus
  • Having professional experience in commercial programming or audio is a valuable addition
