Engineering Manager in Nottingham

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We need a strong technical background in software engineering, ideally with some data experience.
• We would value experience in an AWS, Apache AirFlow, Python, or Spark environment, or with equivalent technologies.
• You should be able to hold your own in technical conversations, 1-to-1s, and reviews.
• This role is not suitable if you have been focused solely on delivery for many years.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for someone to lead a team of 7-8 software engineers.
• We need you to help build a data platform that is highly visible and important to our business.
• You will support the foundation for larger initiatives over the next few years.
• This is a hands-off leadership role, but you will still take part in technical conversations, 1-to-1s, and reviews.
• You will bring people together toward a common goal and set the team up for excellence.
• You will use your initiative to identify issues and help resolve them.
