This is a hands-on leadership role where you will guide a Scrum team building and improving a large-scale contact centre platform. You will take responsibility for how work is shaped and delivered, making sure the team has clear direction and that what is released is stable and ready for real customer use. The role balances technical decision making with day-to-day delivery, so you stay close to the code while helping others do their best work. You will work closely with Product and Platform to turn ideas into practical solutions, manage trade-offs, and keep delivery on track. Alongside this, you will help the team improve how they use modern tools, including AI, in a way that supports quality rather than cutting corners. There is also a strong focus on improving and modernising existing systems, helping the team move forward without disrupting what already works.
What you will do:
- Lead a Scrum team through planning, delivery, and release, with responsibility for sprint outcomes
- Design and build services using C# and .NET, while guiding frontend work with Vue.js
- Break work into clear, manageable pieces and support the team through delivery
- Manage technical risk, support incident response, and ensure systems remain reliable
- Help the team make effective use of AI tools in everyday development
What we are looking for:
You are comfortable leading from within the team rather than from a distance. You have strong experience building backend services and can guide technical decisions without overcomplicating things. You understand how to balance speed and quality, and you are able to keep delivery moving while dealing with real-world issues like defects, incidents, and legacy systems. You work well with others, can challenge ideas when needed, and help create an environment where people can improve and take ownership of their work. Experience with AI tools is useful, but more important is your willingness to explore how they can be used safely and effectively in a real engineering setting.
What you can expect:
You will have real influence over how the team works and how the platform evolves. The role offers a mix of leadership and hands-on engineering, with the chance to improve both systems and ways of working over time. If you are looking for a role where you can lead delivery, stay technical, and make steady, practical improvements, this could be a good fit.
