The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and control, while developing a high-performing finance team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
  • Leading statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits
  • Acting as the main point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
  • Overseeing treasury, cashflow, and debt compliance reporting
  • Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
  • Managing tax compliance and HMRC relationships
  • Producing high-quality reports and board-level documentation
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team
  • Supporting pension and payroll-related finance activities

About You

You will be a confident, credible finance professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capability. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholders
  • Track record of leading and developing finance teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail with commercial awareness
  • Strong systems and ERP knowledge
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or asset-heavy environments will be highly advantageous.
