If that’s a resounding “YES!!” then you should probably apply for this role! I’m working with a company in Lincoln who are looking to expand their dev team to increase their capacity for cool drone-related tech. They are a friendly bunch who love what they do.
I am after someone with a good few years of experience working with C++ and surrounding tech, ideally coming from a military/defence/aviation background, who loves getting their hands dirty and tinkering with tech, especially hardware and low-level code. You’ll ideally be an aerospace fan and love understanding how hardware and software fit together.
You’ll be someone who enjoys solving challenging problems and values the satisfaction of finding solutions. You’ll be a reliable and hard-working team member, who can easily interact with others, share your thoughts, and put forward ideas. They are a supportive team and will look after you. The work you do is needed, appreciated, and rewarded – they have good career progression and a strong team feel.
Key skills are:
- C++
- QT framework (beneficial, as that’s what they use on the front end)
- Network programming
Any experience with TDD, Git/Bitbucket, or QT creator would be great. Ideally, you’ll be comfortable on either Linux or Windows.
