A clean slate. A chance to build something your way. This is an opportunity for an experienced Procurement & Supply Chain professional to step into a role where you can genuinely make your mark. You won’t be walking into a rigid procurement function with years of established processes and ways of working. You’ll be starting with a clean slate, giving you the opportunity to bring your experience, challenge existing thinking and shape how procurement and supply chain operate for the future.
You’ll take ownership of developing the procurement strategy, building the right supplier network, negotiating commercially strong agreements and creating a supply chain that is efficient, resilient and aligned with the needs of the business. The role will give you significant scope to identify opportunities, introduce new ways of working and deliver tangible cost savings. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence inventory management, forecasting, supplier performance and risk management, working closely with stakeholders across the business.
What makes this opportunity different? This is not simply about managing an existing supplier base or maintaining established processes. You’ll have the opportunity to build the function around what the business actually needs. You’ll be trusted to use your judgement and expertise to develop the right strategy, establish meaningful KPIs, strengthen supplier relationships and identify where improvements can be made.
For someone who enjoys having ownership and seeing the direct impact of their work, this is a chance to take your procurement and supply-chain experience and really put your stamp on something.
About you: You’ll be an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain professional with a strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation, inventory, forecasting and logistics. You’ll be commercially astute, confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels and comfortable challenging the status quo. CIPS qualification is essential, alongside the ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver measurable results. Experience within a manufacturing or production environment would be advantageous, as would a recognised qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline. Due to the nature of the role, you must be a UK resident and eligible to undergo Security Clearance.
The opportunity: If you’re looking for a role where you can inherit someone else’s strategy, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for a clean slate, genuine autonomy and the opportunity to build a procurement and supply-chain function that reflects your expertise, this could be a very exciting next step. Bring your ideas. Bring your experience. Build something you can be proud of. We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background.
