The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and control, while developing a high-performing finance team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles
- Leading statutory accounts preparation and year-end audits
- Acting as the main point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
- Overseeing treasury, cashflow, and debt compliance reporting
- Strengthening internal controls and governance frameworks
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Managing tax compliance and HMRC relationships
- Producing high-quality reports and board-level documentation
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the financial reporting team
- Supporting pension and payroll-related finance activities

About You
You will be a confident, credible finance professional with strong technical expertise and leadership capability. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (FCA/FCCA desirable)
- 3–5+ years’ post-qualification experience
- Strong background in IFRS and statutory reporting
- Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholders
- Track record of leading and developing finance teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with commercial awareness
- Strong systems and ERP knowledge
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or asset-heavy environments will be highly advantageous.
