Role: SCADA / PLC Automation Engineer Salary: £40k – £60k per year + benefits Location: Fully Remote, UK Are you a Manufacturing Automation Engineer who is looking for something just a little bit different? A chance to develop your programming skills and to get into the world of AI and Machine Learning? Working for a new, unique hybrid engineering/ML company who are shaking up a huge global industry, you’ll have a chance to combine your love of tinkering with robotics and automation with a newfound appreciation of all of the possibilities of AI and Machine Learning in the field of industrial manufacturing. This company has come from seemingly nowhere to suddenly be one of the hottest names in their industry, but their success is no overnight success story. They are led by experts in the robotics, automations and manufacturing industry – these bright sparks saw an opportunity to spin out a new company that combined old school know-how with cutting edge data and Machine Learning technology, and so far, their order book shows no sign of slowing down. You’ll be joining a charismatic and passionate manager who is well travelled in the world of automation and manufacturing technology – he’s going to be someone amazing to learn from. He’s looking for someone who shares his joy at breaking things and then fixing them to understand how things work… someone who is a true engineer at heart. He wants someone who has several years of SCADA and PLC programming experience (Siemens preferred though Rockwell, Schneider, Mitsubishi is fine). You’ll have worked with current and obsolete PLC/SCADA systems and will ideally have a good understanding of databases such as Microsoft Sql Server or MySql. Any programming experience with Python, C++ or BASIC would be advantageous, BUT, if you don’t have strong programming experience but are able to learn quickly and are excited about adding more programming experience to your armoury, then you will still be considered! Ideally, you will also have at least some experience of working within food manufacturing environments. This role will be hybrid with time spent between your home, their office in South Yorkshire and client sites across the UK, so you must be comfortable with travel. Please apply or call us (google Rebel Recruiters for our number!) to discuss further. We welcome diverse applicants and are dedicated to treating all applicants with dignity and respect, regardless of background. #J-18808-Ljbffr
