Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Gallery Registrar/Operations Assistant at the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery, located in central London. The role will report to the Gallery Manager and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of the gallery’s inventory, implementing systems in the office, maintaining an immaculate work environment, managing all aspects of the gallery’s cataloguing system, coordinating shipping and receiving of artworks, and assisting with the installation and de-installation of exhibitions. This is the perfect role if you're the type of person who desires versatility in day to day tasks and is not chained to a desk!
Qualifications
- Experience in inventory management and cataloguing systems
- Proficiency in coordinating shipping, receiving, and handling condition reports is a plus
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Knowledge of international art shipping and customs regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Previous experience in an art gallery or museum is desired
