We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and commercial driving experience, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of service while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols. Successful applicants will be driving New Air Conditioned Mercedes Sprinter Service Buses and will work as part of a team with predominantly day time hours on a 5 day per week rotation.
Duties
- Safely operate a bus on designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with team leader and other team members regarding schedules and any potential delays.
Requirements
- Valid Cat D driving licence.
- Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar driving role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with passengers and colleagues effectively.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations while driving.
