We are looking to recruit a night security duty controller to add to our team based at our Head Office in Hatfield. You must hold a valid SIA Licence and a full UK driving licence.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring client sites are covered at all times
  • Providing out of hours support to all staff on sites
  • Conduct key holding and mobile patrol duties
  • Attend to any alarm activations
  • Provide emergency site cover
  • Conduct welfare and site visits on a weekly planned schedule
  • Take hourly check calls from lone worker staff
  • Manage and accurately update the rostering system
  • Ensure all reports are completed as required
  • Report any issues to the Contracts Managers / Operations Director

Core Requirements:

  • Must hold a frontline SIA Licence
  • Must hold a full valid UK driving licence
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy
  • An excellent understanding of situations, organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure
  • The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with a wide range of people
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the SIA Industry
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Dealing with customer enquiries in writing and by telephone
  • Working on their own as a lone worker
  • Taking ownership
  • Able to make decisions and work unsupervised
  • Able to deal with escalated client queries, handling unforeseen situations and finding solutions

This position will be following a 4 on 4 off rotation pattern, covering 12 hour shifts. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative as they will primarily be a lone worker. They must also be self-motivated, with the ability to perform effectively when under pressure and a reliable, enthusiastic team member. A uniform will be provided.
