Overview

Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year.

Join our Engineering team and help develop the next generation of industry professionals. You will deliver practical training and support to students, helping them build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for careers in agricultural engineering. Working within our specialist facilities, you will support learner achievement, maintain equipment and workshops, and promote safe working practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who is passionate about sharing their expertise and inspiring others.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver practical Agricultural Engineering training to students in workshops and field-based environments.
• Assess and monitor learner progress, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Maintain engineering equipment, tools and learning resources, ensuring they are safe and fit for purpose.
• Promote and enforce health and safety standards in all practical activities.
• Support curriculum activities and work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an outstanding learning experience.

The successful candidate will have:

• A Level 3 education in a relevant subject
• GCSE Maths & English grade C or above (or equivalent) or a willingness to undertake Basic Skills Level 2 Maths & English.
• Experience within Agricultural Engineering or a closely related industry.
• Strong practical skills and technical knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• A commitment to health and safety and maintaining high professional standards.
• Enthusiasm for supporting the development and success of students.

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment.
