This is a unique and high‑profile leadership role, responsible for representing CWCG and ensuring it is an influential and authoritative voice for Further Education across Cheshire and Warrington. Working closely with college Principals, government bodies, and key stakeholders, you will drive collaboration, represent the interests of the group, and support strategic initiatives that deliver real impact.
Responsibilities
- Help shape, represent and take forward CWCG's strategic response to regional and national policy developments, particularly relating to devolution and the Combined Authority.
- Represent CWCG at a senior level with government departments, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Develop policy briefings, consultation responses, and position papers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with MPs, councillors, employers, and funding bodies.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities, including leading collaborative bids.
- Provide data, research and analysis to support strategic decision‑making.
- Facilitate partnership working and collaboration across member colleges.
Qualifications
