Reaseheath College is a forward-thinking and dynamic college providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. Our Academy of Engineering covers Agricultural, Motor Vehicle and Large Transport Vehicle Engineering, which includes Bus and Coach, Construction Plant, and Rail, with multiple training facilities across our campus to ensure our learners are industry focused and career ready. The College has significantly invested in the Engineering facility, with a £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre boasting state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for teaching purposes.
Due to significant growth in the Engineering department, we are looking for a motivated and innovative Advanced Technical Trainer to deliver high-quality, progressive training and assessment for Construction Plant Apprentices. This is a vital role, providing practical delivery to apprentices who are on block release from their employers.
Key responsibilities:- Plan, develop, and deliver rail apprenticeship training that meets industry and accreditation standards.
- Lead and mentor students through engaging theory, practical, and assessment activities.
- Conduct vocational assessments both on-site and off-site for our national programmes.
- Work flexibly across all areas of the Engineering department to share knowledge and expertise.
- Provide guidance and support to apprentices and employer partners.
- Ensure health, safety, compliance and safeguarding are at the heart of everything we do.
- Have industry experience in Construction Plant operations, maintenance, or engineering.
- Hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in the vocational area.
- Possess strong teaching, training, or mentoring skills (teaching qualifications desirable but not essential).
- Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be knowledgeable of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant qualifications.
- 35 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
