Reaseheath College is a forward-thinking and dynamic college providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. The college has significantly invested in engineering facilities with a £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri‐Tech Centre boasting state-of-the-art equipment for teaching purposes. As the UK's leading academy for agricultural engineering, we constantly raise the bar to deliver training in the advanced technology needed to maintain the complex tractors and agricultural machinery used in precision farming.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to deliver practical training in Agricultural Engineering across various programmes up to level 3. You will use your expert knowledge and skills to help our students achieve their ambitions and support new curriculum opportunities as we expand our provision.

Key responsibilities:
  • Supervise the work of students undertaking practical activities.
  • Instruct students to develop the practical skills required by industry and support their practical confidence and ability.
  • Adhere to college health and safety procedures by supervising students undertaking practical activities, giving help, support and guidance.
  • Help maintain premises, equipment, consumables associated with the department.
  • Utilise learning resources and opportunities fully and effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Experience of a similar role within the FE sector or industry.
  • Experience of storing and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Minimum level 3 qualification in a relevant subject with experience in transmission types, farming machinery, engines, hydraulics, tractor technology, electrics, and fabrication skills.
  • Level 2 in Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
