The BI and Registry Department plays a vital role in supporting curriculum planning, funding compliance, data integrity and strategic reporting across the College. As a leading land‑based education provider, Reaseheath is investing in systems, insight and leadership to strengthen performance and drive future growth. The Head of Funding, Planning, Performance leads a function that underpins operational effectiveness, financial sustainability and learner success, overseeing the Business Intelligence, Exams and Registry teams. Management Information Systems are central to how we plan, deliver and review provision, ensuring leaders and curriculum teams work with clarity, confidence and accuracy. About the role: The Head of Funding, Planning, Performance provides strategic leadership across Funding, Registry, Business Intelligence and Exams, and is a key member of the College Management Team. The post holder is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timely submission of statutory data returns (including ILR and HESES), and for ensuring systems and processes are efficient, compliant and fit for purpose. You will lead the development of reliable reporting and dashboards, translate complex information into clear insights, and work closely with curriculum and support teams to embed MIS into planning, timetabling, enrolment and performance monitoring. This is a strategic, high‑impact role that shapes how data, systems and insight support the College's priorities and contribute to the success of learners, staff and the wider organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the College's MIS function, including Registry, Business Intelligence and Exams, ensuring effective, compliant and high‑quality data systems.
  • Oversee the integrity, accuracy and timely submission of statutory data returns, including ILR and HESES.
  • Ensure exams, enrolments, timetabling and related processes meet regulatory requirements and are delivered effectively.
  • Develop, maintain and improve data systems and reporting tools, including dashboards that support operational and strategic decision‑making.
  • Promote a strong data‑compliant culture through policies, processes and staff development.
  • Provide expert advice on funding, data use and management information across the College, supporting cross‑departmental collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Have strong experience working with data, reporting systems and MIS‑related functions.
  • Demonstrate successful management experience within MIS, Exams or ILR environments.
  • Possess up‑to‑date knowledge of FE/HE funding rules and requirements.
  • Be technically proficient with data systems and software tools.
  • Show strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Be adaptable, proactive and capable of leading and developing a team.
