Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. The College has significantly invested in the Engineering facility, with a £7 million Advanced Engineering and Agri-Tech Centre boasting some fantastic, state of the art facilities and equipment for teaching purposes. As the UK's leading academy for agricultural engineering, we are constantly raising the bar to deliver training in the advanced technology needed to maintain the complex tractors and agricultural machinery used in precision farming. Our Agricultural Engineering team with industry expertise, support the development of students' technical knowledge and practical skills with the maintenance of agricultural machinery.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to deliver practical training in Agricultural Engineering on a variety of programmes up to level 3. You will use your expert knowledge and skills to help our students to achieve their ambitions and contribute to the development of new curriculum opportunities as we seek to expand our provision.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervises the work of students undertaking practical activities.
  • Instruct students to develop the practical skills required by industry and to support their practical confidence and ability.
  • Adhere to College Health and safety procedures by supervising students undertaking practical activities giving help, support and guidance.
  • Help maintain the premises, equipment, consumables associated with the department.
  • Utilise learning resources and opportunities fully and effectively.

The successful candidate will

  • Experience of a similar role within the FE sector or Industry.
  • Experience of storing and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • A minimum of a level 3 qualification in a relevant subject with experience in transmission types, farming machinery, engines, hydraulics, tractor technology, electrics, and fabrication skills.
  • Level 2 in Maths.
