About the role

We’re looking for a committed and compassionate individual to join our English and Maths team as a Catch-Up Tutor. In this role, you’ll work with small groups of learners who need extra support to succeed in English — helping them build confidence, close key gaps, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting learners in small groups and one-to-one where needed
  • Helping students build confidence in core English skills
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to reinforce learning
  • Encouraging engagement and supporting progress tracking

The successful candidate will have:

  • Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to motivate and relate to young people
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and digital learning tools
  • Experience in education or tutoring would be desirable
  • A teaching qualification (or working towards one) would be desirable

Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands-on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
