About the role

As Interim Progress Coach Team Leader, you will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of Progress Coaches to deliver outstanding pastoral care and personal development support to students. You will ensure a culture of high expectations, supporting and challenging learners to achieve and exceed their goals through effective 1:1 coaching and group tutorial delivery. Alongside managing team performance and quality, you will contribute to the development of the college's personal development and Career Ready programmes, working collaboratively with curriculum teams and external partners. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner with leadership skills who is passionate about student success and building a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of Progress Coaches to deliver high-quality pastoral support
  • Monitor team performance, including KPIs, and support continuous improvement
  • Deliver 1:1 coaching sessions and group tutorials to support student progress and development
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of the Career Ready and personal development programmes
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and senior leaders to ensure consistency of support across the college
  • Support student induction, enrolment and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Manage student conduct, concerns and complaints in line with college policies

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent
  • Have experience working with young people or students in an education or support environment
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Be able to plan and deliver effective 1:1 support and group sessions that inspire learners
  • Possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Be a confident communicator, able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external partners

As a College, we actively encourage applications from industry professionals without a teaching qualification, as well as those from qualified teachers. Reaseheath offers a full CPD programme with access to funded qualifications alongside hands on support whilst completing Further Education Training. Industry professionals joining the College in an academic role, will complete their Further Education Training whilst in post.
