We're looking for a Social Value Consultant to join our growing team to help us make places, projects and programmes Better for Everyone.
This is a position for someone with experience in social value and/or impact evaluation to play a key role in our exciting business and to help shape and improve communities and wider society. You’ll have the opportunity to work on some high-profile commissions in London, Liverpool and nationally.
About RealWorth
We are a social value consultancy working across the UK and mainland Europe. For over a decade, we've helped developers, cultural organisations, VCSEs and public bodies optimise social value to create positive, lasting and measurable change that's Better for Everyone. We've been a certified B Corp for four years, holding ourselves to the same high standards that we help our clients to achieve.
What You'll Do
- Develop social value strategies and action plans, turning these into meaningful activity on the ground and overseeing delivery
- Support clients to understand, optimise and measure the social impact of their projects and programmes
- Research and analyse data on local needs and opportunities
- Assess the social impact of projects, programmes and policies through Social Return on Investment (SROI) studies and other impact analyses
- Facilitate engagement with stakeholders, including community organisations and residents
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations and client-facing documents
- Build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Contribute to business development, marketing and thought leadership activities
Experience
- At least two years' experience in a relevant field such as social value or impact measurement, ideally within a consultancy
- An understanding of Social Return on Investment (SROI) or other evaluation methodologies
We're Looking For Someone With:
- A genuine, demonstrable passion for helping people improve their lives and make the most of their potential
- Enthusiasm and resilience to support our growth plans
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- The ability to build positive long-term relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
It may also help if you have a relevant degree or professional qualification, for example in human geography, economics or social science and/or a practitioner-level qualification in social value
You'll ideally be based within the Liverpool City Region, or within around an hour's commute of Liverpool City Centre; close enough to keep travel time manageable and your carbon footprint in check.
We are keen to make this role attractive and open to candidates who have physical, mental or other impairments or may have otherwise faced barriers to entering employment. We will consider making appropriate levels of adjustments to allow such people to apply for this role and join our team where this can be done in parallel with continuing to meet the needs of our business.
Why RealWorth?
With us, you'll do work that matters: meaningful projects that shape how places and programmes are planned, designed and managed. You'll join a small, supportive team, with direct exposure to clients, early responsibility, and a clear path for personal and professional development.
Salary
£30-35,000 (depending on experience)
