Company

RealVNC® is the remote access platform for engineers looking for the most reliable and the most secure solution built by the creators of VNC® technology. Over the last 25 years, as the inventors of VNC®, we've enabled a global workforce to work wherever works and created the remote access market. Our software is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide including IT professionals from global companies, such as Intel, IBM, NASA, Shell, DreamWorks and Philips.

Our lead product, VNC Connect, allows users to connect securely to a remote device anywhere in the world, see its screen in real-time, and take control as though sitting in front of it. The product has been deployed across a myriad of use cases, from remote support through to deploying the software onto connected devices such as medical ventilators, set-top boxes, heavy industrial machinery and more.

Backed by leading mid-market private equity firm, Livingbridge since 2021, we are investing in our people to support our highly ambitious growth plans. As part of our people strategy to develop our next generation organisation, we are looking to add new team members that are integral to the success of the business, committed to delivering high quality results, collaboration and innovation to help accelerate company growth.

Position

We’re looking for an experienced Agile Coach / Scrum Master to join our product team and work alongside other Scrum Masters, to become the connective tissue between product-engineering teams—some organised around projects, others around vertical domains (e.g., Applications, Portal, Platform).

Your mission is to raise the bar on our Agile engineering practices, unblock delivery, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across teams with different cadences and maturity levels.

Team Enablement

· Facilitate Scrum events (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) for two in-flight project teams.

· Coach vertical squads to adopt a sustainable Scrum or hybrid scrum-kanban model.

· Mentor PMs & POs on backlog hygiene, story slicing, and value prioritisation.

· Actively unblock teams by escalating external dependencies, negotiating capacity, or guiding them to self-solve.

· Assess tooling gaps (e.g., CI/CD, work-item tracking) and partner with Dev Ops to close them.

· Work alongside other Scrum Masters to set a common shared approach to Scrum Mastery within the organisation.

Cross-Team Alignment

· Feed into and help run a “Scrum-of-Scrums”/Agile Sync for teams to surface dependencies, risks, and shared milestones.

· Introduce lightweight, shared Definition of Ready / Definition of Done that respects each team’s context.

· Coordinate cross-team retros to ignite shared learning and reduce duplicated effort.

· Where an initiative benefits from more structure than Scrum alone, apply light-touch project management—tracking milestones, dependencies, and risks through to delivery.

Process & Metrics

· Co-design and track flow metrics (lead time, WIP, throughput, escaped defects) with engineering leads.

· Implement data-driven improvement experiments and A/B test new ceremonies or artefacts.

· Standardise reporting so leadership sees one concise, meaningful health view.

Culture & Coaching

· Pair-coach engineers and PMs on Agile values, servant leadership, and evidence-based forecasting.

· Champion psychological safety; use facilitation techniques (Lean Coffee, Liberating Structures).

· Lead workshops on story-mapping, impact mapping, and release planning.

Requirements

You;

  • Have proven experience (5+ years) as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master in SaaS or product-centric environments with multiple concurrent teams.
  • Have demonstrated track record aligning project-based and vertical/stream-aligned squads.
  • Have deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP; pragmatic about frameworks (“fit for purpose, not dogma”).
  • Have some hands-on project management experience alongside your Agile background, and are comfort in applying traditional PM practices—planning, milestone tracking, risk and dependency management—where an initiative calls for more structure.
  • Have strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills; are able to operate as servant-leader and influencer without formal authority.
  • Have fluency in metrics (flow, quality, predictability) and empirical coaching: can set baselines, experiment, and show impact.
  • Have hands-on with Jira Projects (you tweak workflows and dashboards yourself).
  • Have excellent communication—able to tailor language for engineers, designers, executives.

Anything Else?

As well as the above, if you have any of the desired experience below then we’d like to know about it!

  • Have experience working with complex software products.
  • Have experience working with software delivered both in the cloud and on-premise.
  • Have programme management experience or certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP) a bonus.
  • Have Certifications such as PSM II/III, CSP-SM, ICP-ACC.
