We are seeking an experienced Project/Engineering Manager for a permanent Linlithgow based role. You must have a background in Hardware product engineering to be considered for this position. In this role, you will lead cross‑functional engineering teams in the development of next‑generation products and innovative features for our advanced test solutions. You will work closely with Product Management and Senior Leadership, contributing to both technical delivery and commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across electronics, mechanical, and software disciplines to successfully deliver new products and product enhancements.
- Plan, budget, and manage complex development projects in accordance with established NPI processes.
- Drive project execution by motivating teams, managing priorities, and ensuring delivery against agreed objectives and timelines.
- Collaborate with Product Management to define and maintain the product roadmap for assigned product lines.
- Guide engineering teams in evaluating technical concepts, implementation approaches, and associated trade‑offs.
- Provide line management and mentorship to engineers, including support for recruitment and team development.
- Work collaboratively with the wider management team to support quality initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Degree‑qualified in Electronics, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing complex hardware and software product development projects.
- Strong technical capability with the ability to understand and manage multidisciplinary engineering challenges.
- Proven ability to prioritise effectively and deliver within demanding timelines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Skilled at resolving complex technical, logistical, and project‑related issues.
- Practical and detail‑oriented approach to project management.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels, including senior management.
- Commercially aware with a strong customer‑focused mindset.
- Previous experience managing and developing engineering teams.
