You'd take ownership of core systems from first principles through to production, with your work shipping fast and having a direct, measurable effect on business performance.

Must haves
- Strong systems-level programming in Rust (C++ considered)
- Comfortable solving novel problems fast in competitive conditions
- Low-level performance instincts re cache behaviour, memory layout, and what your code compiles down to, not just the logic on the page
- Hands-on experience profiling and squeezing out performance gains in production systems
- High agency: comfortable owning a system end-to-end
Highly valued
- Understanding of blockchain VMs (e. g. EVM)
- Blockchain fundamentals, transaction supply chain, MEV
