This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established Yorkshire firm and step into a clear seniority gap within the private client team. The role is ideal for someone who is confident running a full private client caseload independently and wants to be a dependable, senior presence without the pressure of heading a department or building a team. Who we’re looking for:
- Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
- 5+ years’ PQE in private client work
- Strong, generalist private client experience across wills, probate, LPAs and estates
- Comfortable managing a full caseload with no hand-holding
- Experience dealing with larger or HNW estates (Desired)
- Confident stepping into a seniority gap within a team
- Approachable, professional and client-focused
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a full private client caseload from instruction to completion
- Advising clients on wills, probate, LPAs and estate administration
- Handling larger and more complex estates where required
- Acting as a reliable, senior day-to-day point of contact for private client matters
- Maintaining strong billing, time recording and financial control on files
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounts requirements
- Supporting stability and continuity within the private client team
- Informally mentoring more junior colleagues as the team develops
- Getting involved in networking and relationship-building where appropriate
