If you’ve built strong private client experience and want your next move to take you firmly into the HNW and UHNW private wealth space, this Sheffield role offers exactly that.
You’ll join an award-winning firm that is investing significantly in its private wealth offering, working closely with a highly regarded Partner to advise clients whose wealth, family structures and long-term objectives demand sophisticated and proactive advice.
Rather than high-volume or transactional work, the emphasis is on becoming a trusted adviser to individuals and families over the long term. You’ll handle complex succession, trusts, estates and tax planning, often collaborating with accountants, financial advisers and other specialists to provide joined-up advice.
The team is growing quickly, creating genuine scope to increase your responsibility and progress through Senior Associate with longer-term partnership potential.
Who we’re looking for
- Private Client Solicitor with approximately 1–8 years’ PQE
- Strong experience advising HNW and/or UHNW individuals and families
- Excellent drafting skills across wills, trusts and related documentation
- Strong grounding in tax mitigation, estate administration and succession planning
- Experience collaborating with accountants, IFAs and other professional advisers
- Commercial and proactive approach to client relationships
- Desire to develop a long-term career within a growing private wealth practice
- Offshore or cross-border experience (Desirable)
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP (Desirable)
What you’ll be doing
- Advising HNW and UHNW individuals and families on complex private wealth matters
- Handling sophisticated succession and estate planning
- Advising on tax mitigation and wealth preservation
- Drafting complex wills and trust structures
- Managing high-value estate administration
- Supporting internationally mobile clients with cross-border estate and tax issues
- Working alongside accountants, IFAs and other advisers to provide coordinated advice
- Collaborating with contentious probate specialists on strategic estate and beneficiary matters
- Developing long-term relationships with clients and their families
- Contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s private wealth offering
