This is a key senior hire with a clear need for an experienced Private Client solicitor to support the new Head of Department and step into a pivotal role within the team. You’ll take ownership of a busy and varied Private Client caseload. You’ll also be a trusted sounding board for the Head of Department, helping to guide the team and maintain high technical standards. Longer term, there’s a genuine opportunity to step into a more senior leadership position and help shape the future of the department as it continues to grow, including expansion into a second Cheshire location. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior Private Client solicitor who wants high-quality work, stability, and a clear route to progression without sacrificing flexibility or work–life balance.
Who we’re looking for:
- 5+ PQE Private Client Solicitor
- Confident running a full Private Client caseload independently
- Strong experience across wills, LPAs and probate
- Exposure to HNW work
- STEP qualification (Desired)
- Comfortable supporting a Head of Department and mentoring others
- Approachable, collaborative, and commercially aware
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing your own caseload of Private Client work, including wills, LPAs and probate
- Handling higher-value and more complex estates
- Supporting the Head of Department in the day-to-day running of the team
- Acting as a senior figure within the department and supporting more junior colleagues
- Helping to shape the future growth of the team, including development in a second office location
- Building strong relationships with clients and referrers in the local area
