Are you a highly technical private client solicitor who thrives on complex estate planning and wants to escape the full-cabinet, long-hours culture? This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking, employee‑owned firm and play a key role in expanding its Altrincham presence.
As a senior private client lawyer in the South Manchester office, you will work closely with the wider team to target and service clients in the Manchester and Cheshire market. This is a growth role, meaning you’ll have the freedom to shape your caseload and the team around you, and help free up the Head of Department to focus on wider strategy.
Who we’re looking for:
- 8+ PQE Private Client Solicitor
- STEP qualified
- Strong experience with high‑net‑worth clients and complex tax planning structures
- Manchester/Cheshire connections or modest following
- Estate planning specialist who can handle work independently and advise more junior team members
- Confident, proactive, and commercially aware
What you’ll be doing:
- Conducting and overseeing high‑end estate planning matters, including trusts, IHT, CGT, and succession planning
- Supporting the wider growth of the private client team across the North West
- Working closely with colleagues to shape strategy and contribute to business development
- Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the firm’s reputation for quality and service
