A well-established law firm is looking to expand its Private Wealth department with a Senior Solicitor at Senior Associate or Salaried Partner level.
This team specialises in high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth estate and tax planning, trust administration, and estate administration. Working alongside accountants, investment managers, private banks, and financial advisers, the team provides expert legal services tailored to clients’ unique needs.
The work is high-value, complex, and rewarding, and the firm fosters a collaborative and supportive environment where solicitors are entrusted with a significant degree of autonomy.
Who we’re looking for
  • 6+ years’ PQE at Senior Associate or Salaried Partner level.
  • Experience advising HNW clients on lifetime and death estate and tax planning, inheritance tax mitigation, estate administration, and the formation, taxation, and administration of trust structures.
  • Experience supervising junior fee-earners.
  • At Senior Associate level, candidates should ideally have some client following and/or market contacts and an ability to generate new work leads.
  • At Salaried Partner level, strong business development credentials, a substantial client following, and/or holding numerous trusteeships/executorships is essential.
Desirable
  • Experience in charity formation and administration, income tax, and capital gains tax.
  • Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) qualification (preferred but not essential).
Salary & benefits
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Full-time role based in Manchester city centre with hybrid working (typically one day WFH).
  • A minimum of 25 days' annual leave, increasing with service, plus office closure between Christmas and New Year.
