This is a fantastic opportunity for a Private Client Associate Solicitor to join a well-established Birmingham team that’s entering an exciting growth phase. There is already a strong pipeline of work, so you’ll step straight into meaningful, high-quality matters with the freedom to shape your role as the team evolves.
Initially, the focus is very much on fee earning and helping stabilise workload. Beyond that, the direction is yours: remain a high-performing technical fee earner, or move toward supervision and leadership as the department grows. The environment is changing and expanding, so this role suits someone who’s adaptable, ambitious, and keen to take ownership of an opportunity.
Who we’re looking for
- 4–7 years’ PQE in Private Client work
- Strong experience across Wills, Probate, Estate Planning, LPAs and Trusts
- Comfortable advising HNW clients and handling complex estates
- Collaborative team player who enjoys working in a growing, evolving environment
- Proactive, driven, and keen to make the most of a long-term opportunity
- STEP qualified or working towards STEP (Desired)
- Some exposure to business development or networking activities (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing an existing caseload of complex and HNW private client work
- Advising on: Wills and estate planning Probate and estate administration Trusts Powers of Attorney Matters involving vulnerable clients
- Getting your head down and fee earning while the team continues to grow
- Supporting the wider team as capacity increases, with future scope for supervision
- Helping shape how the Birmingham private client offering develops over time
Salary & Benefits
- £60,000 – £70,000 salary, depending on experience
- Hybrid working – typically 2 days working from home
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy additional holiday
