This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to step into a well-established, Legal 500–ranked private client team on the outskirts of Leeds, with an immediate high-quality caseload and a clear gap at senior level. The team is exceptionally busy, fuelled by strong internal referrals and long-standing client relationships.
What’s missing is another experienced, forward-thinking private client lawyer who can help shoulder the workload now, and, over time, play a key role in shaping the department’s future. You’ll join a friendly, down-to-earth team with a low ego and quality-focused culture, and genuinely flexible around hours and working patterns. This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact and step into a trusted senior position.
Who we’re looking for:
- 6–7 years’ PQE+ in private client work
- Strong experience across Wills, LPAs, Probate and estate administration
- Comfortable handling complex and higher-value matters
- Able to run a full caseload autonomously
- Appetite for business development and contributing to departmental growth
- Hungry, ambitious and forward-thinking, without ego
- Collaborative, approachable and client-focused
- Experience advising business owners or HNW clients (Desired)
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a full mixed private client caseload from day one
- Delivering high-quality, relationship-led client service
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
- Playing an active role in BD and local networking
- Identifying opportunities to streamline, modernise or improve working practices
- Becoming a trusted senior presence within the department, with scope to evolve into a leadership or technical-lead role
