This Altrincham-based role gives an NQβ2 PQE solicitor the chance to develop within a growing specialist team, working directly with the Head of Court of Protection and handling a varied deputyship caseload involving vulnerable clients, complex needs and significant litigation awards. You'll initially be office-based while you learn the firm's approach and build your confidence. Once you're fully trained, there's considerable freedom over where you work, including the option to work from home or from the firm's Altrincham or Chester offices. The firm itself is expanding, with offices in Altrincham, Chester and London, but remains employee-owned. Who we're looking for NQβ2 PQE Solicitor with Court of Protection experience Strong client care skills and confidence supporting vulnerable clients and their families Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organisation and time management Excellent attention to detail Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel Able to work effectively in a paperless environment Collaborative, professional and self-motivated approach What you'll be doing Managing a mixed caseload of deputyship administration matters Supporting clients with complex needs and high-value litigation awards Working closely with clients, families, deputies and multidisciplinary teams Progressing best-interest decisions in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act Advising on relevant Court of Protection law and procedure Drafting applications, correspondence, court documents and contracts Instructing Counsel and experts Managing Court and tribunal deadlines Representing clients where required Supervising and delegating work to Court of Protection administrators and paralegals Liaising with Costs Draftsmen and other professionals Salary
