Court of Protection Solicitor role within a close-knit team. High-quality deputyship work with strong support, supervision and long-term progression. This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Court of Protection Solicitor to join a growing team in Manchester, working on meaningful deputyship matters that genuinely improve clients’ lives.

You’ll be part of a well-established and supportive team that works closely together on its cases, with work largely generated internally from a busy clinical negligence department. The role offers exposure to a broad range of property and financial affairs deputyship work, with the chance to manage your own caseload while supporting Deputies on higher-value matters.   • Newly Qualified Solicitor
  • Prior experience in Court of Protection matters
  • Experience of Property & Affairs deputyship work
  • Confident in managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Personable, confident and able to deal sensitively with vulnerable clients
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the day-to-day property and financial affairs of clients who lack capacity
  • Acting in clients’ best interests at all times when dealing with assets and finances
  • Assisting Court of Protection Deputies on higher-value and more complex matters
  • Maintaining accurate time recording and a clear audit trail on all files
  • Managing your own caseload with increasing autonomy
  • Working closely with families, carers and other professionals
  • Contributing to a supportive, team-based approach to case management
