You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment. With senior movement creating space at the top, this role offers the chance to build and lead the Manchester family team, supported by an existing reputation, internal referrals, and firm-wide backing.
You’ll start by building your own caseload (with strong support to get you there quickly), before playing a central role in developing the team and the wider Manchester offering.
Who we’re looking for:
- Senior Associate Family Solicitor
- Strong experience in private family law, including financial remedy and children matters
- Legal aid experience or a solid working understanding of legal aid
- Experience supervising or managing others, or a clear appetite to step into a leadership role (Desired)
- Ability to contribute to business development and help grow a local presence
- A collaborative, down-to-earth personality

What you’ll be doing:
- Building and running a mixed family law caseload covering private finance, children and legal aid work
- Taking a leadership role within the Manchester team, currently made up of qualified solicitors and a trainee
- Supporting, mentoring and managing the team to ensure consistency, quality and cohesion
- Playing a key role in business development and strengthening the Manchester profile
- Ensuring compliance, standards and strong client care across the team
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider firm to support referrals and growth
- Helping shape the future structure of the Manchester family offering
